Throughout November, fireworks surely become something that we hear and see almost every night. However, there was a specific event that was special, as many purchased tickets in advance to come and see. Saturday 9th November marked the school’s annual fireworks display and it was an event that nobody should have missed. The gates were set to open at 5pm, ready to greet the many groups of friends and families. All were welcome as the evening kicked off with dazzling fireworks of different vibrant colours that caught the attention of many. Eyes were glued to the sky as the display enraptured all, including some Coopers alumni who were in attendance. The field was filled with groups of spectators who were eagerly awaiting the fireworks to begin. Once they did, all attention turned to the sky as it was illuminated with lights of different colours and sizes. The fireworks display could even be seen from Upminster Station, entertaining those from afar as well.  Even though the fireworks were the main event, there were many other activities for people to enjoy: the Pop up Craft Fayre for example. The usually empty sports hall was jam packed with stands selling an array of items, transforming it into a bustling market for many to partake in. Sweet glazed donuts and burgers were being sold at some of these stalls creating an irresistible aroma that attracted all. Additionally, bracelets were on sale to buy for yourself or even match with a friend and there was music throughout the night, creating a fun atmosphere that got people singing. The night helped friends to bond and brought them together as even after the fireworks there were games and laughter all around the field. After speaking with some of those who were in attendance, it was clear that the night was thoroughly enjoyed. One particular attendee stated that “It was an amazing night,” and that “the burgers were popping”. Overall the annual Coopers Coborn and Company fireworks display was a raging success relished by many. Make sure to mark your calendars for the event next year!
